Ozi Choice at 2019 Sydney Chinese New Year Lantern Festival

Sydney celebrates Lunar New Year in spectacular fashion, with dazzling lion and dragon dances, dragon boat races, colourful markets and fabulous food. Discover 12 huge zodiac lanterns on the edge of beautiful Sydney Harbour in the vibrant Circular Quay, including at the Sydney Opera House.

2019 is the Year of the Pig, which symbolises honour and optimism, with a focus on achieving great things. For the traditional Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese and Mongolian lunisolar calendar, it’s the start of the year and Sydney’s rich multicultural heritage forges a lively celebration.

As the centrepiece, the 2019 official Chinese New Year Lantern Festival featured a Great Wall of China lantern display which go right across Darling Harbour's Tumbalong Park.

Chinese lantern traditions symbolise "family reunion, luck and bring good fortune into the New Year!" It is sure to be an enjoyable day and one for all nationalities.

On the 14-17th of February 2019, Ozi Choice is proud to once again support the Sydney Chinese New Year Lantern Festival in Darling Harbour.
